When it came time to build a stroker motor for the shop lizard, that is, our 1965 Dodge Coronet, we couldn't find an engine builder in town who had a Mopar torque plate. So we made our own plus several to spare. This torque plate is special since it is made from a single billet of aluminum tooling plate. The thicknesses are exactly matched to the head thickness for a typical aluminum cylinder head. I can't prove to you that this plate will work better than the cast iron ones which Mopar Performance sells, but I prefer it. I only made a few of these since the billet cost was so high and I doubt that I'll make more. If you want one, drop me an email
