High-rise Throttle Bracket Kit

This throttle bracket kit provides proper alignment for the throttle cable on a high rise manifold. A big block kit is shown above, but kits are available for small block, big block and street Hemi manifolds. The operation of the bracket is the same for either application.

These kits are designed for a Holley carb but they can also be used with an Edelbrock carb if the hole in the throttle lever is reamed out slightly to accommodate the throttle stud.

We recommend using a tall throttle return bracket with a dual spring as shown above. Adjust the throttle cable per the service manual. If your throttle cable is too short, you might order one for a car equipped with a slant six as those had longer cables.

The mechanical kickdown linkage that the factory used cannot be adapted to this style of throttle bracket, but the throttle bracket will accommodate a cable kickdown. Two location holes for the cable kickdown are provided on the throttle bracket. Typically a Holley carb uses the inboard hole for the kickdown cable while an Edelbrock carb uses the outer hole.
